Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr to start charging with MOBILEcharge

80 electric buses will be charged in the future using 52 charging points in 4 depots with theMOBILEcharge charging management system fromCarMedialab. In addition to a customer-specific charging plan, MOBILEcharge supportsrnv in real-time monitoring of the entire charging infrastructure and maintains an overview of the charging processes and health status of the charging points at all times.

Interoperability is also required in this project. Among other things, VDV 463 for a connection to the existing depot management system and VDV 261 for preconditioning are components of this installation.

We are pleased to be working with rnv on an innovative project.

Why does charging have to be intelligent and smart?

Because it saves costs, is easier to manage and reduces risks. As an expert in vehicle data and charging technologies combined with our deep understanding of charging management, we are here to assist you handle and deploy your electric fleet.

Buses in Leipzig go electric – Charged with MOBILEcharge

Leipziger Verkehrbetriebe awards CarMedialab, the leading provider in the field of charging management for electric buses, with the delivery of the charging management system MOBILEcharge.

In the future, the system will monitor and control charging processes at the depot and on the route based on operational requirements. This means that buses will not only run on time, but will also be sufficiently charged and sustainable.

Keolis Norge: Intelligent Charging Optimization of e-Buses in Norway

Keolis succeeds in starting to operate electric buses in Bergen with complete success. With MOBILEcharge, charging processes can be controlled and monitored. This makes it possible to see remotely if there is a fault, if a charge is not working, and how the state of charge of each bus develops during the night. This innovative and sustainable solution could be a model for many other cities.

Cost reduction through active management of the loading processes

Our CEO Heiko Bauer has published an article in this year’s “Elektrobus Spezial” of the magazine “der Nahverkehr” on the subject of “Cost reduction through active management of charging processes”. In it he describes how it is possible to reduce peak power and benefit from variable electricity prices and presents our charging management system MOBILEcharge.
