Telephony and handsfree systems
Intelligent handsfree systems link your mobile phone to your vehicle using Bluetooth technology. You no longer have to place the device in a cradle; just hop in, select who you want to phone on the display and dial.
Audio integration
And if it's possible for a mobile phone it should also be possible for an MP3 player. Just take your player along in the vehicle with you and enter songs on the audio system. A small adjustment to your handsfree system and away you go!
Emergency calls and breakdown calls
The mobile phone has now already been linked to the vehicle and can also be used for making emergency calls. The electronics can tell if an accident has occurred, for example if an airbag has been deployed. A data or voice connection is established with the emergency services. If the handsfree system had its own GMS/GPRS module, even the customer mobile phone would no longer be required.
And if the handsfree system has its own GSM/GPRS module, it is no longer a handsfree system but rather a telematics control unit. And its uses know no limits!
